We asked one of our residents, Barb Knapp, also our Resident Council president, a few questions about Resident Council and her role as president.  Barb was elected by the residents of The Courtyards on Jan 1.  Barb saw the need for the Board of Officers to meet once a month to discuss the concerns expressed by fellow residents.  This monthly meeting allows for additional planning for those items that are important to discuss with the administration.  Barb is proud of Board of Officers and their commitment to make a difference.

Barb has been a resident of Bethany Village for 3 years. Barb finds satisfaction in volunteering and maintaining Barb's Coffee Nook in the front foyer for residents and visitors.

Hi Kathy,
Thank you for the warm welcome yesterday, we are confident that we have made the right decision choosing Bethany Village as my Mom's new residence. The staff was warm and welcoming during this very emotional transition stage in her life. I would like to express a sincerely thank you to everyone at Bethany from our family.

Have a nice day.

My husband and I having moved from Elmira in 1990, lived for 20 years in Naples FL.  Now in our 80's, we realized that old roots are strong ones and that having family close by was to be desired.  Kathy Woodruff made our transition from south to north an easy one and the Orchard Homes' residents made us feel immediately at home.  We love our new 'digs'...they are comfortable, spacious and attractive.  Our view of the surrounding hills is absolutely beautiful...we are glad to be here!

Thank you, Bethany.

My Mother, Elizabeth Dandrea, joined the Bethany Village residents and her experience has been a mixture of joy, pleasure and one of being accepted from her first day on the Bethany Village campus.

She had been in the Manor, but moved to the Courtyard in March.  My Mother has been surrounded by a caring and kind Staff who have been there for her every step of the way.  Her orientation into her new home was done by me with ease because of the cooperation of Bethany's Staff members who welcomed her into their Home in a gentle and helpful way.  I was at a loss for how to get my Mother moved into the Courtyard and whoever I called with questions, was very helpful and patient and answered all my questions making it simpler for me and easier on Mom.

There's no way to say Thank you to everyone who has participated in the Residents care except to say a huge "Thank You" to all.

My Mother was moved to the assisted living apartments at Bethany Village in Feb of 2010. Though it wasn't her choice but what was in her best interest the staff and management have made it a very nice transition for her. She is settling in much better than we expected and the staff has been a great influence on that as well as helpful to the family during this very stressful time.

"We chose Bethany Village for its caring service and the sense of community that is apparent when you first walk in. We visited three other assisted living facilities before choosing and none impressed us as Bethany did.To accommodate our parents, the staff even had a door made between two adjoining rooms so that they could be together! Our folks are enjoying the wonderful meals, and we're relieved that they have such a nice place to live where they can get the support services they need. "
